These decorative wooden wagon wheels range in diameter sizes of 18, 24, 30, 36, 38, 42, and 48 inch. The metal tire thickness is 1/16. The width of the felloe and tire are available in 1 or 2 inch sizes within the (189-xxx) pear hub. The (ASH-xxx) small cannon and (ATLEE-xxx) largest cannon are sold with only 2 inch tires. The wood used to construct the wheels are first and second material that is unable to pass road worthy status for the horse drawn buggies and wagons. Spokes and felloes are made with hickory lumber. Hubs are usually ash. The hubs have a 1 inch hole drilled through the center so that an axle can be used if needed. The decorative wooden wagon wheels are very strong and are sometimes used to make garden carts, used on stage in plays, chandeliers, civil war reenactment, or just sat around for western or country display. The wheels are shipped and arrive raw and unfinished. They can be lightly sanded then slightly fire torched to expose the hardwood grain then stained and varnished. Wood can also be painted. With any wood, a preservative should be used to protect your investment for many years. A pear hub has one metal band on each end of the hub. It measures 6 inches in length and has 12 spokes. The ASH hub resembles a small cannon wheel with 4 metal rings. The bands are located on each side of the 12 spokes where they mount into the hub. The other two rings are at each end of the hub. The ASH hub measures 7 inches in length. The ATLEE hub resembles a large cannon wheel with 4 metal rings. The bands are located on each side of the 14 spokes where they mount into the hub. The other two rings are at each end of the hub. The ATLEE hub measures 8 inches in length.
